"I felt like I was dying inside," she tells the magazine about those days. According to People the couple argued a lot and Russell pushed her and pulled her hair.
Russell denies her hair-pulling allegation and tells People, "Did I push her? Yes, maybe things happened in the heat of the moment, but it was during a time in our lives that was not characteristic of who we were. This show has literally pushed us to the limit."
Taylor, who grew up in a home filled with domestic violence, tells the magazine, "I knew I had to break the cycle for my daughter's sake." The 40-year-old also confided that she felt "ashamed" this was happening in her relationship because of her strong advocacy for the 1736 Family Crisis Center, a Los Angeles organization that provides support for victims of domestic violence. (Read about that episode here)
Taylor confesses, "I'm scared about the future. I can't even think about dating. First, I need to learn to love myself enough so I don't allow this to happen again."

People think that I pay for the parties but they are comped. The restaraunts are happy to host my clientele, because they are notable and can afford highend restaurants. Also I am happy to give them the exposure. Its a win-win for both of us. I love any excuse to celebrate love and life. I'm blessed to have both! Also a lot of my parties are for charity, and the vendors donate things or a portion comes out of the ticket price (per usual in the world of charity functions).
The Real Housewives of New York City are Cindy Barshop, LuAnn de Lesseps, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Alex McCord, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin.
The 90-minute Real Housewives of New York City Reunion Part 1 aired last night and part 2 will air next Monday at 10PM on Bravo.
The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion Part 1 - Ramona Singer's blog - Turn the Other Cheek - Ramona admits the reunion got a bit out-of-hand, but she's owning up to her mistakes.
Doing the reunion has always been stressful for me, and it is not something I look forward to doing -- especially this year when I saw so much mean girl talking behind my back; so many things said in such a negative manner on each episode. It gets hard to handle, even for someone strong like myself. Thank goodness I know who I am. I am a great mother, wife, a successful multi-business owner with a great group of friends off camera, which includes Sonja and Alex.
To say I was I was embarrassed by everyone's behavior on the reunion, including my own, would be an understatement. Who would ever think that we are a group of educated, sophisticated, polished, New York women? This was not evident in what I watched. The reunion was mostly negative energy. I, myself, made a few comments that I am not proud of. It's impossible though to have discussions with some of these women who only know how to exaggerate grossly, or worse, downright lie. At times, I felt it was beneath me to engage with them.
The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion Part 1 Blogs - Sonja Morgan.
An excerpt from Sonja Morgan's blog:
Kelly gets upset when Alex is nervous? Why? Because it makes her uncomfortable? The question was why is she belittling Alex's feelings and calling her weird. That's not nice. But I think when Kelly is nervous the adjectives just come out. She herself said she is not comfortable with 1970s-style feelings.
The best comment from Kelly is when she says she has no idea, and it's not her business when she is referring to her comments about my house not being mine, or clean or organized. She can say that again. What would make Kelly make mean-spirited comments about me? I have been nothing but kind and respectful of her -- protective in fact. I broke the ice between her and Ramona before we went away because I wanted her to be comfortable after our last trip. She said she gets uneasy around powerful assertive women, but this I deserve?
I never put Cindy down. I asked her to not put Ramona down. Ramona introduced her to us, and then she's not tolerant of the Ramonacoaster! There is a pecking order. Take care of those who take care of you. Cindy is always twisting the story, and she is always insulting me, while I do not insult her. She has been very aggressive even after I broke the ice between her and Ramona so she would be invited to Ramona's party that actually turned out to be a surprise birthday party for me!
The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion Part 1 Bravo Blogs - Jill Zarin
An excerpt from Jill's Bravo Blog:
Did you happen to notice Ramona's body language when she doesn't want to talk about something? When it was brought up about Mario confronting me recently, Ramona just wanted to skip it instead of apologizing for Mario's inexcusable behavior. Andy wouldn't let it go. This was a party held by a mutual friend of ours and there is also another mutual friend of ours who was witness to Mario shoving me with his hand and getting in my face and saying "I want to talk to you." Ramona needed to acknowledge that it happened and ask her husband to apologize. She at least admitted that she didn't see the incident, which is different than what she said in the press after it happened. We choose what we say in our intros, and it's interesting to note how Ramona wanted to present herself: "If people can't handle the truth it's really not my problem." This reinforces her pattern of hurting peoples feelings and not caring about what people think and feel. We all say things sometimes in anger, and I'm as guilty as the next person but at least I'm adult enough to apologize.
I honestly got very upset that Ramona continued to bring up LuAnn's children. Before Season 1 we all agreed, no kids, keep the drama between us. Ramona crossed the line and went as low as she could go. Ramona has no boundaries for the emotional damage she causes. She can give it but she can't take it. For the past two seasons she has relentlessly talked about LuAnn's marriage. Yet when I commented, she thought it was the worst thing ever. She can dish it out but can't take it. It's obvious how uncomfortable she made LuAnn. Ramona wouldn't let it go -- she kept hammering her and I couldn't take it. Someone had to stand up and say "enough" and I literally did. I walked off the set. Ramona should check her own house before throwing stones.
I want to end by saying this: The blondes continue to think that just because they say things it makes them true. In answer to that philosophy I have this to say, "You stop lying about me, and I'll stop telling the truth about you."
The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion Part 1 Bravo Blogs
An excerpt from Alex McCord's blog:
There were multiple times tonight where all seven of us, plus Andy, were talking over each other, and a couple of things got lost in the chatter. When Cindy got huffy at Sonja about Quogue, I reminded her of her attitude about Governors Island, a trip of seven minutes vs. an hour.
I’m amazed that LuAnn always looks shocked when people point out that she is often less than gracious and kind to many of us. Either she has memory loss issues, doesn’t watch the show, or has rose-colored glasses on when watching herself on television. Possibly all three? And we haven’t even gotten to Morocco or our coffee date with Herman Munster yet.
Kelly was a study in contradictions tonight. She mentioned that Cosmopolitan listed her as one of the Top 5 nicest celebrities. She is rarely what I’d call “nice” to me, and over lunch she told me she was not a celebrity. After the reunion taping I decided to go find the list, if for no other reason than to see who else was on it. That list is not online, though I did not go so far as to call or email the magazine; my search was limited to Google. Maybe she meant that she was in the nice column on Santa’s list, and wants a subscription to Cosmo in her Christmas stocking.
The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion Part 1: Blogs
Excerpt from KKB's Bravo Blog:
Most reunions are celebrations where people are nervous and eager to see how everyone has evolved. The RHONY reunion show, which is filmed over a full day, in contrast, is literally a free-for-all where women attempt to portray who they think they are. Fortunately, the viewers and I always see through the "pinot-vision."
Where do I start? I was raised by a lawyer and facts always come first. On this show, facts are always railroaded by people's delusion. This is also what makes it so funny, and why I secretly enjoy filming. Last season, we were bombarded by constant infomercials for various products, and I, like you, was confused and offended. This season we are bombarded with situations like burlesque parties, pinot parties, and odd interactions that aren't "what New York really looks like." There are drunk blondes in every city in America, in the Midwest we call them "bar flies." New York is an amazing place that's inspiring on so many levels with endless opportunities and outlets for creative expression. It’s not just me who realizes how tacky some of the women act and look. Most NY women, like most American women, are usually in an office or at places like Chelsea Piers waiting for their kids to finish practice. Seriously? In my opinion, the luckier women in NY are usually very busy being supportive mothers, philanthropists, and standing in line at Whole Foods. Not everyone is hawking their wares and branding themselves during a conversation.

The song had already been an instrumental track on Kaempfert's Blue Midnight album in 1964. Nat King Cole also recorded L-O-V-E in Italian, French, and Japanese.
