So, what is the deal with the popularity of the Housewives? Basically, you can watch it and think that you know all of these people and gossip about it with your friends and not feel guilty.
Andy talked about how the shows are all real and unscripted (and edited.) He also gossiped about "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" Reunion (the reunions are about an 8-hour shoot, things get heated, he asks a lot of questions) and the drama of Bravo shows in general (they look for "strong personalities" NeNe Leakes, Jeff Lewis, Rachel Zoe.) Is Bravo bringing back "The Real Housewives of DC"? They're talking about it... How does Andy deal with these high maintenance women (Housewives)? He's a good listener.

...And speaking of emotion, Camille's story in this episode gets to me every time I watch as she finally reveals Kelsey wants to end their marriage. The scene with her daughter at the dance class?! Where the instructor is saying all these unwittingly ironic things like "smile through the pain" and "this is something you can do with your dad." Ouch. Beyond ouch.
I know everyone is very opinionated about Camille, but I hope they cut her some slack in this episode. I can't imagine how awful it must have been to know your marriage is falling apart while video cameras are a few feet away and millions of people are going to watch.

There were a lot of really touching moments in this episode, moments that reflected family dynamics, rites of passage, change, and self-discovery. There was also a really important lesson for all of us in this episode.
Ladies, don't ever, EVER take your husband shopping for clothes with you.
It's funny how we think it's a good idea, or at least a manageable one. We tell ourselves that this time will be different; this time will be a bonding experience-–or at least a fun one.
Right.
Or rather, wrong.
Mauricio's mother spoke with Paul and I about approaching things as a team, and I agree with that philosophy for some experiences. When it comes to shopping however, not so much. Is there a husband handbook somewhere that encourages them to suggest the clearance rack every time without fail? I think I'm benching Paul on the next shopping trip. Commit too many fouls and you foul right out of the game, right?
I was so sad watching, thinking that while I was celebrating one of the happiest times of my life, Camille was going through the worst time in hers. We sat there watching her marriage unfold right before our eyes. Seeing her go to New York and her feel like a stranger with her own husband was painful to watch. I had a lump in my throat thinking how this family was being broken up against her will. I feel for her and her children. I would be absolutely devastated, as I know she must be.

As far as friendships go, I have lots of them. I introduce my different groups of friends to one another in hopes that they will then become close as well. I have introduced friends of mine to one another that have ultimately become best friends, and it brings me nothing but JOY. I am not jealous of my friend’s friendships and believe that we could all use as many friends as possible in this life. Enough said.
Seeing Camille in this episode made me sad. I cannot imagine the hurt in her heart having experienced the cold rejection she received surrounding the Tony Awards. After thirteen years of marriage, she certainly deserved more respect. I have said before that Camille is incredibly strong and once again, she showed that strength. For her to attend the Tony Awards and put on a happy face for the cameras must have been gut wrenching. Watching her preparing to attend the event with her husband for the last time, and knowing what we now know, I cried for her. Most of us have had our heart broken at least once, and the feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you are devastated by someone you love is without comparison.
As a Mother, I can only imagine how consumed she must have been thinking about the well being of her children and what their life would be like having their parents on either side of the country. When she was with Mason at dance class, smiling through her pain, I just wanted to give her a big hug. We have all had days where we have to put on a smile for our children so they don’t feel our sadness or concerns, but this must have been overwhelmingly difficult. My heart goes out to her. The 9pm hour attracted 2.31 million total viewers and 1.48 million adults 18-49, making it the No. 1 telecast among adults 18-49 versus all cable competition in the timeslot. The episode also became the highest rated episode of the season among total viewers. The 10pm hour earned 1.42 million total viewers and 932,000 adults 18-49. The sexy partygoers attending the "Show Me Your Best Burlesque Party" will dance to DJ Mia Moretti and peep Sonja doing her own little show burlesque show.
